Most industrial tragedies are preventable. The warning signs are always there — they just go unnoticed.
Muthu Kumar spent 28 years working in industrial safety in Oil & Gas, one of the most dangerous industries. He understood the work deeply. He also understood its limits.
The hardest part was never awareness. Site managers knew their risks. Safety teams ran regular walkthroughs. The challenge was coverage — there was simply too much happening across too many cameras for any team to monitor in real time. By the time something was flagged, it had already happened.
He met Krithik Roshan, an AI and computer vision engineer, and they started talking about what the cameras already installed on these sites were actually capable of. Not just recording — understanding. Detecting. Alerting, before something went wrong.
That conversation became MacV AI.
